SNOG, London

Situated in South Kensington, London, SNOG is the flagship store for a chain of frozen yoghurt shops.

We were approached by Cinimod Studios who wanted to create a fun and fresh environment for the store. The concept was to take the outside inside, complete with a ‘digital sky’ capable of running video files of blue skies with moving clouds and sunshine.

Working from architects drawings we designed and manufactured a series of bespoke panels that fitted the irregular shaped ceiling, leaving apertures for conventional lighting and speakers.

Onto these panels we mounted 191 Traxon 16 pixel RGB panels to make up a ceiling array of some 3056 RGB LED’s. This was then covered with Barrisol stretch fabric to diffuse the light.

Using the E:cue Programming Suite custom designed video files were converted into DMX showfiles and loaded onto E:cue Butlers to be played in standalone mode. All the staff have to do each day in is turn on the power and the Butlers do the rest.

The result is a unique, eye catching feature which fulfils the overall vision for the store.
